Greetings from the Crescent City! After a long, cramped, getting-to-know-you drive (laced with a little napping) we arrived in New Orleans. Here we are ready to walk to Mother's. Although the photo is blurry (I was standing on a glider chair) we are all in reality bright-eyed and ready for the work ahead.
I vote that our theme song for the trip (since we've heard it in two places in as many days) be the positive "Oh What A Beautiful Morning." Some of us could not contain our joy during our French Quarter walking tour when the steam boat Natchez began playing the tune this morning from its berth in the Mississippi.
